This Korean origin dalgona coffee or whipped coffee is a recently emerged trend on TikTok, but it was first coined by South Korean actor Jung Il-Woo. So, it’s been here for quite some time now, only to catch fame during the global pandemic when no one had anything better to do than try new things! - 1 glass of whole milk (hot/cold to your preference)
- 2 tablespoons of instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar

How To Make Whipped Coffee (Dalgona)
In a large bowl, combine hot water, instant coffee and sugar all together and then start whisking it like crazy until you’ve used both your hands and need to rest, or you could just use an electrical mixer until the mixture starts forming stiff peaks and is light, fluffy and golden caramel sort of colour.
Take a glass of ice-cold milk, you can also add some ice cubes in the milk if you want. Place a dollop of the whipped coffee on top and enjoy your absolutely delicious, creamy and yummy cold coffee!
You can also make it a hot drink if you want. Just heat the glass of milk instead of using the cold one and do the rest as it is.
Toppings For Your Whipped Coffee (Dalgona)
There are not many toppings that you can add to this because of its distinct taste but we have a few topping combinations that will go well with it.
- Chopped Cashews: Cashews will give a creamy yet earthy and sweet-ish flavour to the drink.
- Chopped Nuts: Add some chopped nuts for that rich earthy flavour in that already rich in flavour drink!
- Jimmies: Jimmies go with everything, sprinkle some on top!
- Chocolate shreds: Shred some chocolate and sprinkle the shreds on top for some sweetness!
- Chocolate chips: These will give a slight bite while drinking the coffee and will add some chocolaty sweetness as well!
- Drizzle some caramel on top: Make some golden-brown caramel in a saucepan and drizzle it on top!
